Beekeeping 103: Beehive Rescue and Honey Harvesting

This one day course will involve the transfer of an existing hive and moving it to a box hive. This is a very complicated but doable process if one is properly schooled on the procedure. We will also be going th the steps of processing honey comb to liquid honey. This course will have three different sections but you have the choice of purchasing just a single day. Each class costs $65 but if you purchase all three classes it is $180. Saturday, October 22nd: Beekeeping 101 - Intro to Beekeeping: Saturday, October 29th: Beekeeping 102 - Beehive Building and Introduction to Carpentry Saturday, November 5th: Beekeeping 103 - Beehive Rescue and Honey Harvesting (Must have previous beekeeping knowledge or take 101 in order to take 103) For questions, please contact sierra.reiss@rcdsandiego.org Disclaimer: Class size is limited to ensure maximum participation and safety during COVID-19. Certain COVID-19 regulations remain in place for this event. Acceptance into the class is on a first paid/first-served basis. Once we are sold out, we can't guarantee a place in the class. Walk-up purchases the day of class will incur an additional $5 charge, so make sure you purchase by 11:30 PM the night before class! Space or class materials are not guaranteed for you.
