This workshop is a fun, educational and interactive experience! It’s perfect for individuals who want to gain a better understanding of the overall brewing process. What makes a beer dark? What makes an IPA? What are the mechanics of fermentation? How does the beer get its carbonation? All of these questions and many more will be answered from a hands-on perspective. In this unique workshop we’ll discuss the 4 main ingredients that go into beer making in detail: water, malt, yeast and hops. We’ll go over the process of brewing step by step. You’ll be able to taste, smell and touch various grains and hops throughout the class. At the end of the workshop you will have the opportunity to taste various styles of beer and draw a direct connection from the brewing process to the final product. We provide all the necessary hardware (brewing kettles, thermometers, hydrometers etc.), ingredients (grains, hops, yeasts etc), over 12 years of hands on brewing experience and plenty of beer jokes to the table. Come join us for this one of a kind offering. Cheers! This class is taught by David Isaac.
