Berry Good Food’s signature dinner, Seeds for the Future—an unforgettable event with San Diego and Baja’s sustainable culinary community of chefs, farmers, fishermen, winemakers, distillers, and brewers—has returned after a two-year hiatus. Proceeds from the nonprofit organization’s dinner will help fund its annual school garden grants. Since 2017, Berry Good Food has awarded more than $50,000 in grants to 23 schools and educational organizations with garden projects that enhance the teaching of agriculture and healthy eating in our shared bioregion of San Diego and northern Baja.

New this year, Berry Good Food is expanding the scope of “Seeds for the Future” by offering three uniquely styled dinners in three different locations around San Diego as a Summer Series.

The first dinner on June 11, 2022 will feature a seafood extravaganza at Casa de Flor in Bankers Hill, where guests will begin in the salon with an exhibition-style service of shellfish, sashimi, crudo, and ceviche; then transition outside to enjoy seafood and veggies over open flame. These culinary delights will be created by chefs Flor Franco (Casa de Flor), Davin Waite (Wrench & Rodent Seabasstropub), Ron Oliver (private chef and caterer), and fishmonger and television host Tommy Gomes (TunaVille Market & Grocery). Tickets for the June 11th dinner are $185 and available here (
