What could be better than cookies for a cause?
Friendly Feast has launched a gourmet cookie program that gives sweets fans the chance to take home a box of eight cookies created by some of San Diego's best pastry chefs and bakers.
Participating chefs including the likes of Jose Alonzo III of Nine-Ten Restaurant & Bar, Dominique Cancio of Moon Milk Baking Co., Victoria Sorrisio Scully of Campfire, and Rachel King of Kaneh Co. (who was also the winner of the Friendly Feast Chocolate Chip Cookie Championship).
The debut box includes lemon shortbread sandwich cookies, chocolate churro cookies, pecan brown sugar meringues, and chef Vicky’s famous butter crunch cookies.
Cookie boxes are $25 and contain eight bakery-sized cookies (two of each flavor). Proceeds will be shared with Frontline Foods, a nonprofit organization that supports local restaurants and provides meals to workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
