Founded in 1997 by a group of brewers dedicated to the growth of craft beer, the San Diego Brewers Guild (SDBG) is a nonprofit organization comprised of allied brewery members, tradespeople, and various goods and services providers. Since its founding, the Guild’s mission is to promote awareness of local, independently brewed beer via education, events and community involvement.

To further that goal, they launched an app this week developed Paradeigm for iOS and Android that basically hardwires you into the San Diego craft beer world.

The free app has an incredible listing of over 130 independent craft brewery profiles in a mapable format that includes a built in "Lyft here" function.

The news section announces upcoming beer releases and events, while the calendar is constantly updated to include area events at breweries and affiliated restaurants.

The map of area restaurants feels a little underdeveloped at this point, but we're not complaining. This is an app we are thrilled to have in our pocket if only for the incredibly user-friendly brewery listing and events calender.
