Unlike lox, hot smoked salmon is cooked all the way through and has a great smoky flavor and firm texture that makes it a great addition to this salad, which could be thought of as deconstructed bagel and lox.

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning
  • 3 ounces hot smoked salmon
  • 1/2 tablespoon capers
  • 1/4 lemon, thinly sliced

Instructions for

  1. On a medium plate, smooth yogurt across one half using the back of a spoon and pile arugula on the other half. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
  2. Break salmon apart into 1’’ pieces and arrange over the arugula. Top with capers and a few slices of lemon.
  3. Serve as a quick lunch or as part of a brunch spread alongside a simple omelette.
