Cranberry Bavarian Cream

This recipe is so cool! It's also a tad vintage and yet seasonal. This easy and unusual holiday dessert can be prepared ahead of time and Cranberry Bavarian Cream is a nice refresher. Serve this pink treat in a pretty bowl or individual stemmed glasses.

Ingredients for

Cranberry Bavarian Cream

2 cups cranberry juice cocktail

1 3-ounce package lemon Jell-O

¼ cup sugar

Dash of salt

1 cup unsweetened heavy cream, whipped

Additional whipped cream, chopped dried cranberries, decorating sprinkles for garnish (optional)

Instructions for

Cranberry Bavarian Cream

Heat Cranberry cocktail to boiling point. Dissolve  Jell-O, sugar, and salt in it. Chill the mixture until set, covered, about 3 hours in fridge. (Do not freeze.) 

With hand mixer at medium-low speed, combine whipped cream and gelatin mixture until all is uniformly pink. Transfer to serving dish and chill in fridge until ready to serve. Garnish with additional whipped cream and chopped dried cranberries for a lovely color contrast—and serve with a few dashes of sprinkles for fun.
